• Part numbers 8 000 000 123 (S200) and 8 000 000 124 (S300), common to ThyssenKrupp EVOLUTION, ES-P, ES-G and TWIN systems

1. Place lift on inspection mode; raise car until guide head is mid-door zone.
2. Lock main breaker OFF; verify zero energy with a calibrated meter.
3. Insert mechanical safety prop under car frame.
4. Remove circlip and M12 shoulder bolt; slide worn wheel out of fork.
5. Clean fork bore and eccentric bushing; apply thin film of copper paste.
6. Insert new S200/S300; align laser mark at 0° for nominal clearance.
7. Hand-tighten bolt, rotate car 200 mm and check clearance with 0.05 mm feeler gauge.
8. Adjust eccentric: 1° rotation = 0.5 mm rail movement. Target 0.10-0.15 mm total side-play.
9. Torque M12 bolt to 75 Nm; apply ThyssenKrupp blue torque-stripe paint.
10. Remove safety prop; run car on inspection for two complete strokes; listen for uniform rolling sound.
11. Return to normal mode; log wheel serial number and eccentric angle in maintenance book.

• Visual inspection every 6 months: look for polyurethane cracks > 5 mm, hub rust bloom or loose torque-stripe.
• Clearance check: replace when total side-play > 0.5 mm or when eccentric is at ±12° limit.
• Bearing test: rotate by hand; roughness or axial play > 0.2 mm means bearing failure—replace immediately.
• Tyre thickness: replace when tread < 3 mm (started at 8 mm).
• Replace complete wheel every 7 years or 2 million cycles in high-duty hospitals/metro stations.
• Immediate replacement if:
  – bearing seal damaged or grease leaked,
  – hub cracked around eccentric bore,
  – polyurethane debonded > 10 mm length,
  – noise > 65 dB(A) in free-field test.

1. Never mix S200 and S200 on the same guide—differential diameter causes rail edge loading.
2. Use only ThyssenKrupp-specified polyurethane; generic tyres harden and squeal.
3. Keep a spare set in every service van; at 1.8 kg (S200) / 2.4 kg (S300) they cost less than one callback.
4. After rail replacement, re-check clearance—new rails are often thicker and require re-eccentricing.
