1. Decoding the suffix HAA731KEC1 = 24 VDC, red LED, 100 dB(A) continuous tone, wall mount
   HAA731KEC2 = 24 VDC, amber LED, 100 dB(A) intermittent tone (1 Hz flash/beep)
   HAA731KEC3 = 110 VAC, red LED, 105 dB(A), dual-tone (evacuation + fault)
   HAA731KEC4 = 110 VAC, amber LED, 105 dB(A), CAN-bus interface, sync-able for group alarms
   All versions share the same 100 × 100 × 75 mm housing, IP41 front, IP20 rear, –25 °C to +70 °C.
2. Safety first—lock-out & verify Alarm power is taken from the controller’s 24 VDC or 110 VAC logic rail. Lock the breaker, hang a tag and wait 60 s for the rail to discharge. Keep the new Nanjing Zhuye alarm in its anti-static bag until mounting—CMOS logic can latch at 15 V static.
3. Mechanical mounting—point toward the traffic Snap the base onto 35 mm DIN rail or use the supplied surface-mount plate. Aim the horn downward 15° to avoid water ingress and to direct sound toward the lobby floor. Maintain 50 mm clearance above the LED dome; every 10 °C rise halves LED life. Nanjing Zhuye supplies a stainless rain-hood (NY-HOOD-HAA73) for outdoor hoist-ways.

   All terminals accept 0.5–1.5 mm², torque 0.5 N·m
5. Sound & light test at power-up Apply rated voltage; red LED should flash once (self-test), then stay off. Press TEST button: HAA731KEC1 = continuous 100 dB(A) @ 1 m; KEC2 = 1 Hz beep + flash; KEC3 = 500 Hz/640 Hz dual-tone; KEC4 = CAN sync message followed by 1 kHz sweep. If SPL < 95 dB(A) or LED lux < 150 cd/m², replace unit immediately.
6. CAN programming (KEC4 only) Baud-rate: 125 kbit/s, 11-bit ID 0x180 + node address.
   Group sync: all KEC4 units flash within 20 ms when any node triggers.
   Adjust flash rate via P0.03: 0 = 1 Hz, 1 = 2 Hz, 2 = 4 Hz (EN 81-28 compliant).
   Nanjing Zhuye pre-loads address 0x10; change via STEP tool or Otis Z-Term.
7. Temperature & lifetime model LED: 50 kh @ 25 °C, doubles every 10 °C drop.
   Piezo: 1 million cycles; at 300 alarms/day = 3 years.
   Capacitor C5 (47 µF, 35 V): 2 000 h @ 105 °C, 64 kh @ 45 °C.
   Translate to site traffic: Light traffic (office, 10 alarms/day) – LED ≈ 30 years, piezo ≈ 30 years, full unit ≈ 15 years; inspect every 5 years. Medium traffic (mall, 50 alarms/day) – LED ≈ 10 years, piezo ≈ 6 years, full unit ≈ 8 years; inspect every 2 years. Heavy traffic (metro, 200 alarms/day) – LED ≈ 5 years, piezo ≈ 3 years, full unit ≈ 4 years; inspect every 6 months.
8. Preventive inspection checklist Monthly: press TEST, verify 100 dB(A) and visible flash. Quarterly: measure 24 VDC ripple at J1; > 200 mVpp indicates supply fatigue. Annually: IR scan PCB; hot spot > 20 °C above ambient predicts capacitor failure. Bi-annually: torque check J1 screws; vibration loosens them, causing intermittent alarms.
9. Rapid swap (downtime < 3 min) a) Power down, tag out, wait 60 s. b) Photograph J1/J2 orientation with phone. c) Remove two base screws, slide old alarm out. d) Insert new Nanjing Zhuye HAA731KEC, torque 0.4 N·m. e) Restore power, run TEST, log SPL and LED lux. f) Log serial number and date; return old unit for recycling.
10. Recycling & sustainability Nanjing Zhuye offers prepaid UPS labels inside every carton. Returned alarms are stripped: ABS housing re-granulated, copper coil remelted, LED indium recovered. One recycled alarm saves 0.9 kg CO₂—enough to power the same COP for a week.
