1. Pre-Installation

• Switch OFF and verify zero energy; measure motor insulation ≥ 20 MΩ
• Check name-plate: 3×380 V, 50 Hz, 5 A output; inspect heat-sink and fan
• Ensure encoder cable shield is continuous and grounded at cabinet side only

2. Wiring

• Mains: L1/L2/L3 from controller → U/V/W to door motor
• Encoder: shielded twisted pair, separate from power cables
• Control: DCS, DOL, DOS, +24 V, 0 V – follow Otis schematics strictly
• Jumpers: JP1 1-2 for LCBII, JP2 closed for 3-Wire Standard

3. First Power-Up & Self-Tune

• LED sequence: all ON → Status green slow flash
• Plug in Otis Service Tool GAA21750AK3, menu 6-1-1 set door type and width
• Execute 6-1-2 Set Default → 3-4-2 Auto-Tune; door will open/close automatically
• Successful tune: position counts 0–900 mm smoothly, no abnormal noise

4. Daily Operation

• Normal: Status solid green, DOL/DOS toggle, red OFF
• Flashing green: obstruction – check rollers, sills, locks
• Solid red: read event 5-1-1; typical codes E11 over-current, E12 encoder, E13 motor thermal
• Read event log quarterly; compare current profile to spot mechanical wear early

5. Fine-Tuning

• Comfort: reduce open/close speeds to 150/130 mm/s
• Noise: limit torque to 3.2 A open / 2.8 A close
• Energy: enable 30 s standby, fan stops, consumption < 5 W

6. Replacement Interval

• Standard duty < 500 trips/day, ambient < 35 °C: replace after 8 years or 2 million cycles
• Heavy duty > 800 trips/day, > 40 °C: replace every 5–6 years
• If three inverter-protect lockouts occur within 120 s and motor windings 60–70 Ω are good, replace immediately

7. Preventive Maintenance

• Monthly: clean heat-sink, check fan noise, DC-bus 530–560 V
• Semi-annual: tighten terminals, inspect capacitors, insulation > 10 MΩ
• Yearly: change 12 V 0.25 A fan, apply 0.2 mm thermal paste on IGBT

8. Replacement Procedure

1. Lock-out/Tag-out
2. Photo wiring → remove old unit
3. Torque terminals 1.5 N·m → reconnect encoder
4. Power-up → 6-1-2 Restore → 3-4-2 Re-tune
5. Run 10 cycles fault-free before hand-over
