3. Installation – 20 minutes per shoe
   Safety: place the car on inspection, open the main disconnect and mechanically lock the brake.

1. Mark the old bush orientation – note the oil groove facing the rail.
2. Remove four M8 shoe bolts; tap the shoe sideways and lower to a rag.
3. Press out the worn bush using a hydraulic press or threaded rod.
4. Clean the shoe bore with IPA; check for cracks >1 mm.
5. Dip the new 120 × 16 bush in SAE 30 oil for 30 seconds; wipe excess.
